The Amsterdam based designer Jennifer de Bruyckère launched her eponymous label in 2013. Her avant-garde knitwear collections show a clean aesthetic with a focus on strong geometrical lines. Inspired by modern art’s abstract movements, such as constructivism and minimalism, she creates her designs by shaping geometrical planes into edgy, unconventional silhouettes. An ongoing process of observing, draping, constructing and tailoring.

With a background in men’s tailoring and fashion design, she explores the possibilities in cut, shape and technique and challenges the conventional methods of knitting and pattern cutting. Resulting in a blend of pronounced forms and subtle contrasts. All her designs are crafted in Italy with sartorial precision, using yarns of the finest Italian spinners.

In 2002 Jennifer graduated with honours at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. Prior to her education in fashion design, she was trained in menswear tailoring. Twice a year, during the women’s fashion week, Jennifer presents her collection in Le Marais, Paris and her designs are now sold across Europe and Japan.
