GIVES EMOTION AND PLEASURE TO OUR LIFES



Since ancient times, there is a tradition that people such as the samurai, the shoguns, the emperors, and artists, change their names with the aim of self development and to go beyond themselves. For example, Hokusai KATSUSHIKA, the famous artist, is known for his multiple names (Sôri.Gakyojin HOKUSAI, Iitsu….) These days, a similar tradition is applied especially in the world of Kabuki and Sumo.
Each new generation of artists takes the names of their predecessors. Furthermore, there is an another fact that also characterizes and illustrates this importance of the name choice. It concerns a Japanese fish called "buri", which is famous as a symbol of success.
The fish takes a different name at each stage of his existence. When young, it's called"Inada", "Hamachi" in middle age and "Buri" at the end of it's life.
Rynshu has chosen to perpetuate this tradition and apply it to his artistic life, so that this moment of his self development is marked and symbolized by a change of name.

Born Masatomo YAMAJI, he creates MA-JI in 1985. His first show MAJI MASATOMO, in 1986, took place during the Tokyo Fashion Week.
He decides to change his name to MASATOMO in 1992 and presents, for the first time during the Paris Fashion Week. He never stopped until nowadays.
In 2008, he changes his name to Rynshu HASHIMOTO and creates its film production company, "MASATOMO DREAM CORPORATION". This season, for its Fall-Winter 2010-11 Paris presentation, MASATOMO becomes RYNSHU.
RYNSHU is a modern and elegant style, far from conventions. Since his debut as fashion designer he has worked without assistant. He is in charge of the scenario writting, costume design, creative direction of all his licensed contract brands, and his own brand RYNSHU.

MASATOMO, the fashion designer, realises his own dream for his evolution, striving to keep ahead of the times. He has launched out into film production with his new company, MASATOMO DREAM CORPORATION. Through being in charge of production, scenario, costume design and the planning for the film, the designer expresses the life style and gives emotion and pleasure to our lives.

The bipolarisation of fashion has become more and more necessary. On the one hand, MASATOMO offers a practical and sophisticated wardrobe, not only directed, but created and designed by himself, and with a reasonable price tag. His branding activity, making licensed contracts and collaboration with the other companies, led him to do this. On the other hand, MASATOMO continues with the fashion shows in Paris for his own brand, RYNSHU, that displays his own unconventional style. This is for himself and his clients, who appreciate the brand’s value even if it’s more expensive, and who can only be satisfied with rarity and the achievement of high quality.

“BY MASATOMO” to give convenience and pleasure to our lives and “BY RYNSHU” for the film industry and for rarity, the designer continues to deal with these two challenging markets. This is the MASATOMO INC. way.

SS13 COLLECTION: LIGHT AND SHADOW

   

The theme of RYNSHU's SS13 season is "Light and Shadow". Influenced by various esthetics in film, music and fashion, and forging a new link between these, as well as forging a new link between materials and detail, transcending gender, RYNSHU has distilled his message in his movie 9¾ (http://934film.com).
The 2013 S/S season is characterized by new creations: cool and masculine tailored suits with a "Light and Shadow" theme contrasting front and lining materials; a world like a photo negative. The linings leap out like shadows from beneath slightly shortened dress lengths, though sewing technique and a beautiful sense of balance; so do the backs of the collars. "I have used ivory-white cupra, black silk/polyurethane stretch satin, and original-design inkjet print polyester for the linings (with beautiful flowers and butterflies in cool colors flocking around the RYNSHU logo), with no padding and a no-stitch diagonal cut. Pursuing lighter and more modern variations, I have added a series of thinly notched collars to androgynous un-collared tailored suits. Collarless coats are also a focus. I have employed a unisex cut, hollowing the shoulders over a "Light and Shadow" prism-effect processing, and a psychedelic shadow border pattern in lamb leather; also, I have used materials with impact for the boots. In addition, I have superposed inkjet print designs inside coats and jackets made of two-ply tie-dyed polyamide organdy, using no padding whatsoever. I have also added a sagging drape to pants in a layered style, like an apron. I have mixed women's dresses with tailcoats, cut asymmetrically. For this season's accessory, I have chosen a 3 meter long black and white pearl rope, draped like a stole. A RYNSHU style that can be worn equally in a rock or formal fashion".


AW 13/14 COLLECTION: RED CARPET /RealisticStyle

 


RYNSHU's clothes are suitable for formality occasion. His design is simple but has particular quality (also has the aspect of eccentric). People will be recognized once they put RYNSHU's clothes on. This season, RYNSHU featured the new formal style. He designed sophisticated classic modern items with comfortable unisex items. He thinks "Black Style" will bring out the person's potential (such as the person's intellectual attraction). He expresses this theory by using high quality textiles, detail, and the silhouette. It is good to coordinate symply.

This season's main style is set up suits and dress. He designed punk rock and heavy metal taste neck wear. This item will be able to add the attraction even if the person already has a great deal of personality. Main color of this season is black. He added medium grey, black and white, and multi color of camouflage army pattern with art sequins. He felt these colors will suitable with the new formal minds. He also chose SWAKARA fur, used for shoes and outers. This fur will attract the person who likes casual and hi-end taste pieces.
