HOET EYEWEAR
Hoet has launched the ‘Made in Belgium’ 3D laser-printed eyeglasses made of titanium. The 3D technology offers a number of unprecedented options, both in terms of design and marketing. In addition, this technology is eco-friendly – a feature that must not be overlooked.
Bruges design studio Hoet’s activities can be divided into three main categorie: the development, distribution and production of the contemporary classic Hoet eyewear collection, the playful eyecatchers for optical businesses and the special sunglasses line Cabrio. In addition to these three main business lines, Hoet continues to accept design projects from companies, which the studio undertakes from design up to realization.
Patrick Hoet is the driving force behind the exclusieve high-end eyewear Hoet collection, as well as remaining a designer for Theo. His daughter Bieke Hoet is responsible for the Cabrio sunglasses and the eyecatchers: a range of optics related products.



HOET eyecatchers


The Hoet eyecatchers are intended as resources for reinforcing the dynamics of the optician shop. They are the answer for an optician who is looking for a personal way to present his collections to the client.

Some of the items that fall into the category of Hoet eyecatchers are:

Design displays which can be used to present eyeglasses in a lovely way.

Mirrors for the sales counter of optician shops.

Accessories such as jewellery and eyeglass cases.

CABRIO sunglasses

A fashionable and sporty sunglasses line.
Streamlined like a car, drawn as if with eyeliner, this collection differentiates itself by the use of new materials and techniques which creates an endless freedom for design and style. This makes this young collection unique in its segment. Design as a basis for affordable and yet very comfortable sunglasses with a sporty look.

The special technique of creasing, folding and manual manipulation of the laminated plastic, determines its airy and desirable shape. The sophisticated material on the outside is combined each time with a synthetic material in different colours on the inside and this gives the unisex Cabrio a casual and sporty accent.

Hoet EYEWEAR

Hoet eyeglasses are designed for clients who value quality and exclusivity. These clients want timeless eyeglasses, but without a visible brand name. They also want a modern look that matches their personalities. Once all the demands are met, these clients have no problem digging deeper into their wallets. The limited editions and the impeccable quality position Hoet eyewear in a higher price segment.

The quality and design really do meet the objectives. Because of the exclusive character of this collection in any way, the collection is distributed on a very limited scale. Hoet certainly has no intention of taking over the market. Hoet wants a monitored growth.

HOET proudly presents a new concept in eyeglasses.
After four years of research and development, Hoet has launched the ‘Made in Belgium’ 3D laser-printed eyeglasses made of titanium. The 3D technology offers a number of unprecedented options, both in terms of design and marketing. In addition, this technology is eco-friendly – a feature that must not be overlooked. The form is essential; the technique is a tool to achieve that form…

Design: the front part is made of transparent titanium with a honeycomb structure that provides wear comfort. The earpieces are fitted with a spring system in a titanium shape-memory alloy. When using only classical production techniques, it is nearly impossible to achieve similar frames.

Marketing: in contrast to the existing techniques, 3D print technology needs no special tools for the various models and/or sizes. A 3D-computer drawing is sufficient. To start with, we are producing two models (Homme I and Femme I), each available in various size combinations for nose and glasses. But there is more to it. You need to purchase only two show models and a number of synthetic dummies in the various sizes in order to determine the best size for your client. There is no risk of overstocking and as soon as you have sold three pairs of eyeglasses, you recuperate your initial investment. If you wish, you can also personalise the eyeglasses with the name of your client.

Eco-friendly: This technology produces eyeglasses without creating any waste, while using a very low amount of energy. An additional eco-friendly aspect is that there is no need for the production of stock. Apart from the show models, the only eyeglasses produced are the ones that are actually sold. No unsold stock; a win-win situation for us and for you!
